The Pod at Egmont is on our farm just outside Northiam. It's a one-bedroom place, sleeps two. Detached, so no one else around. You get the whole five acres to look at, but the actual garden bit for you is fenced. There are chickens. And horses in the field next door.
It's a pod, so it's compact. Everything's in one room, really. Bed, kitchen area, sofa. The bathroom is separate though. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is about right. It's clean and modern, just small. Good if you want somewhere simple to come back to after being out.
The local pub is about two miles away in the village. They do food. There's a shop there too for basics.
Rye is the main place to go. It's about ten minutes by car. Old town, cobbled streets, lots of tea rooms and that. Good for a wander. Camber Sands beach is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes. Huge beach, dunes.
If you like gardens, Great Dixter is very close. The Kent & East Sussex Steam Railway runs through Northiam. You can get on at the station here and go to Tenterden or to Bodiam Castle. The castle is a proper moated one, nice for a visit. Good for walks around there too.
Facilities wise: it's got WiFi, TV, parking right outside. All bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed, sorry. It's not really suitable for children.
