Russett Cottage is on the farm here in Rye Foreign. It's part of a working sheep and fruit farm, about two hundred acres. You'll see sheep in the fields and there's an apple orchard you can walk through.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating which, as I understand it, means it's clean and comfortable but not luxury. It's a cottage, so the ceilings are low in places. The stairs are a bit steep.
The kitchen and living space is all open plan. There's a washing machine, a TV, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. One well-behaved dog is welcome. There's parking right outside.
You're about two miles from the nearest shop and pub. The farm itself connects to public footpaths, so you can walk straight out from the door.
Rye is a ten minute drive. It's an old town with cobbled streets and some good places to eat. The coast is close. Winchelsea beach is about three miles, and the big sandy beach at Camber is about six miles.
If you want to go out for the day, Bodiam Castle and Rye Harbour Nature Reserve are within twenty minutes. Sissinghurst Castle Garden and Battle Abbey are about half an hour away by car.
