Russett Cottage

This is Russett Cottage. It's on our farm in Rye Foreign. East Sussex.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. The main bedroom is on the ground floor, which is handy. There's a stairgate fitted for little ones. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.

You're welcome to bring one dog. Just clean up after it, please.

The cottage is part of the farm, so you'll see sheep and the orchard from the windows. You can walk through the orchard and across some of the fields. There are public footpaths that connect from here. It's quiet.

There's parking right outside. You've got a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a BBQ you can use.

The nearest shop and pub are about two miles away, in Rye. The town is worth a visit. Cobbled streets, some nice places for tea. The Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is good for a walk by the water.

If you want a beach, Camber Sands is about six miles. It's a long, sandy beach. Winchelsea beach is closer, about three miles. For castles, Bodiam is about a 20 minute drive. English Heritage have the details. Sissinghurst and Great Dixter gardens are within half an hour if that's your thing.
