This is Thornsdale Oast House. It's in Iden, a couple of miles outside Rye. You go down a long private lane, about a mile, to get to it. It's completely detached in the middle of fields.
It sleeps ten. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well looked after. It's an oast house, so it's that big round kiln shape. That means the rooms are a good size.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a wood burner in the living room. The garden is enclosed, so it's secure. There's a patio with a BBQ and a separate games room with a pool table.
You're right on a public footpath here. You can step out the gate and walk for miles. It's very quiet. The lane is dark at night, so you get a good view of the stars.
The nearest pub is about a mile's walk. Rye is a ten minute drive. It's got cobbled streets, good shops, and a market on a Wednesday. Camber Sands and its beach are about fifteen minutes away.
For days out, Battle and Hastings are within half an hour. There are a few National Trust places nearby too, like Bodiam Castle and Sissinghurst. The Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is good for birdwatching.
You can bring two dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there.
