66 Fish is in Rye. It's a semi-detached cottage, part of the old fishing quarter. The building was a fishing storage shed originally, which is why it's called that.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms downstairs, one bathroom. The living room and kitchen are upstairs, which is the old hayloft. The floors up there are the original pine boards from about 1900. The kitchen countertops are made from old scaffold boards. There's a wood burner for cooler nights.
The main bedroom has a king size bed. The second bedroom has two singles that can zip together into a super king if you prefer. The garden is enclosed and has a decent sized deck. You can park off the street, which is useful in Rye.
Rye town centre is a five minute walk. It's all cobbled streets and independent shops. You can walk to Camber Sands in about 45 minutes, or it's a very short drive. Good for a proper beach day.
The local area is good for walking and birdwatching. There's golf nearby, and horse riding. Further afield, Battle Abbey is about twenty minutes by car. The National Trust Sussex pages are good for ideas. So is the 1066 Country site for this part of East Sussex.
Facilities: there's a washing machine and dryer, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
