Winchelsea Cottage
Winchelsea Cottage is in the old bit of Winchelsea. It's a whitewashed cottage on a street, double fronted. There's a garden out the back. It's a decent size, gets the sun.
The place sleeps five. Three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. There's a washing machine and tumble dryer, but no dishwasher.
The stairs are a standard cottage staircase. They're not the steepest I've seen, but they're there. The living room has a gas fireplace that warms the room up.
The New Inn pub is about two minutes' walk. They do food. There's a village shop just as close. It's good for basics and some local bits.
Winchelsea Beach is a few minutes' drive. It's shingle with a long stretch. Rye is about ten minutes by car. Good for pottering around the cobbled streets.
You're right on the edge of the 1066 Country Walk if that's your thing. Plenty of countryside paths straight from the door.
For days out, Hastings and Battle are within half an hour. Both are worth a look for the history. The National Trust has a few properties nearby like Bodiam Castle. The Sussex Wildlife Trust has some good reserves.
Included is WiFi, TV, all bedding and towels, the washing machine. Parking is on the street outside. No pets.
