Shepherd's Cottage
Shepherd's Cottage is on our farm in Pett. It's a single-storey stable from the 1700s that we converted. It's just for two people.
It's got one bedroom and a shower room. It’s rated 4 Star, which means it's comfortable and well-finished. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. You get an enclosed courtyard garden with a table and a barbecue.
It's on a working farm. There are sheep and horses in the fields around it. Sometimes a few of the farm chickens wander into the courtyard. The front door leads straight into the open plan living area.
For the coast, Pett Level beach is about a five minute drive. It's a shingle beach with sand when the tide's out. Winchelsea Beach and Camber Sands are fifteen to twenty minutes away. Rye is twenty minutes inland. Hastings is about twenty-five minutes.
