Stable Cottage is in Icklesham, near Rye. It's a detached stable conversion, on its own. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom.
Inside, it's open plan. There are some beams and a wood burner. The stairs are steep. They're part of the original stable, so watch your head.
You get a private garden with a table. It looks out over fields. The owners have a couple of fishing lakes down in the woods you can use if you like that sort of thing.
There's a pub less than a mile away. The nearest shop is in the village.
Rye is about ten minutes by car. It’s got old streets, cafes, and the usual shops. Winchelsea Beach is about the same distance the other way, it's shingle. For more of a walk, you can pick up the 1066 Country Walk from here. It goes all the way to Battle Abbey.
Further out, you’ve got Camber Sands, which is about a twenty minute drive. Hastings and its castle are maybe half an hour.
It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and it works. The facilities are straightforward: parking, WiFi, TV, washing machine, and a cot if you need it. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
