The Blue Loft is mine, out past the edge of Rye. It's a detached place, so no neighbours attached. You look out over fields, usually with sheep in them. You can see Rye up on its hill in the distance.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. One bedroom is on the ground floor. It has French doors that open onto a decked terrace. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The local pub is about half a mile away. They do food. A proper shop is about a mile and a half away.
Rye town is about a mile from here. Old streets, nice places to eat. The marshes are all around it. For a beach, Camber Sands is about ten minutes in the car. It's all sand dunes. You can get lessons for kitesurfing and sailing there if you want. Or just walk.
Rye Harbour nature reserve is close by, good for birdwatching. The National Trust looks after part of it. The footpath along the old coast, the Saxon Shore Way, runs through here if you like walking.
Facilities: woodburning stove, TV, WiFi, parking right here. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
If you're planning trips, Visit Rye has good information. For the wider area, Visit 1066 Country covers Hastings, Battle, and the beaches.
