Brittons Hill Cottage

This is Brittons Hill Cottage in Kenardington. It's out in the Kent countryside, down some quiet lanes. It's a detached, thatched place, so you have your own space. The thatch means it's over three hundred years old, so do mind your head on the beams in some doorways.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is a wet room on the ground floor. There's parking for three cars on the drive.

The garden is enclosed and pretty big. There's a decent patio area with seating and a barbecue. The private hot tub is out there too, seats six.

Inside, it's all been extended and updated. The kitchen and dining area are open plan, so it's a good social space. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. There's a large TV and WiFi, but the signal can be a bit variable because of the thick walls. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well kept.

You can bring up to two dogs. We include all the bedding and towels.

The village of Appledore is about two miles away. It has a shop for basics and a pub. For a bigger shop, Ashford is about a fifteen minute drive. From Ashford you can get the high speed train into London if you need to.

The coast is about twenty minutes by car. You've got Rye, Camber Sands, Dymchurch, and Hythe all in that direction. Tenterden is nearby too, maybe ten minutes, with more shops, restaurants, and the Kent & East Sussex Railway steam trains.

If you like wine, Gusbourne Vineyard is just down the road, you can walk there in a few minutes. Chapel Down in Tenterden is another option.
