Lords View
Lords View is in Ruckinge, Kent. It's one of our old stables, converted a few years back. The farm is about 200 acres, so the views are just fields. You're welcome to walk the public footpaths and see the chickens.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms, all on one level. So it's suitable if stairs are a problem. There's a kingsize bed and two twins. We keep it to a 4 Star standard, so it's comfortable and modern but not a show home.
The living room has patio doors out to your own enclosed garden. It's south-facing, gets the sun. There's a table and chairs out there, and a BBQ.
Ruckinge itself is quiet. The village pub is about two miles away. The nearest shop is three miles, in Ham Street. For a proper beach, you'd drive to Dymchurch, about seven miles.
Local attractions are varied. Port Lympne is a 20 minute drive for a zoo day. If you want the train to London, Ashford station is about 15 minutes by car. You can get the Eurostar from there too. There are some popular wedding venues nearby, like Odo's Barn.
The facilities are what you'd expect for a holiday let. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TVs. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. The parking is right outside.
