The Chicken Shed

The Chicken Shed is in Stone Cross, Kent. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. The name's pretty accurate. It used to be a chicken shed, but it's been done up properly. It sleeps six, has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, not luxury.

We live next door on a smallholding. We've got emus, goats, turkeys, and chickens. Sometimes you'll hear the animals. It's fine if you've got a dog, but they need to be on a lead outside.

The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for kids or a dog. You get a good view over the fields from there. There's parking right by the cottage.

Inside, there's a washing machine, TV, and Wi-Fi. All the bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot.

For a pub, you've got The Bell in Bilsington, about a mile and a half walk down the lane. It does food. Aldington is two miles away for a shop and a couple of restaurants.

You're about half an hour from some good places. Canterbury is 20 minutes for the cathedral and the old streets. Whitstable is about 25 minutes for the harbour and oysters. If you need to get to London, Ashford International station is a 15 minute drive for the high-speed train.
