The Potting Shed
The Potting Shed is in Mersham. It’s in the garden of our house, but it’s very private. It’s a small single storey building that's really just for two people.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it’s comfortable, but it's still effectively a garden studio we’ve done up. There’s one main room with the kitchen and a sofa, then stairs go up to the bedroom under the eaves. The ceiling is sloped up there, so watch your head if you’re tall.
You have your own enclosed patio area outside. It’s got a high fence. It’s good for a dog, or just for sitting out.
The village shop is a couple of minutes’ walk. The pub, The Rose and Crown, is about ten minutes. It’s got a nice garden by the river and the food is good. You can walk from the door into the fields and lanes.
By car, you can be in Hythe on the coast in about twenty minutes. Folkestone is a bit quicker, maybe fifteen. If you want a proper walk, National Trust South Kent has maps for the area. Ashford International station is ten minutes’ drive. Trains to London take about forty minutes.
In terms of what’s here: there’s parking next to the shed, WiFi, a washing machine, a shower, a cot and a highchair. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
