Cowslip Cottage
Cowslip Cottage is in Brook, Kent. It's a converted barn on a working cattle farm. You're right on the footpath called The Pilgrims Way, which is good if you're keen walkers.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 3 Star rating, which is fine. It's clean and warm, not fancy. The ceiling in the main bedroom is sloped because of the barn roof, so if you're very tall watch your head getting out of bed.
There's a log burner for the winter. The terrace looks out over the farmyard and fields. There's a stream and a pond between you and the countryside, so if you have small children you'll want to keep an eye on them.
It's quiet. The only noise is usually the cows. The village pub is a few minutes' walk away. They do food. There's an agricultural museum in the village if that's your sort of thing.
Ashford is about a 15 minute drive for big supermarkets. For days out, you've got the coast at Hythe and Folkestone within half an hour. Dover and Canterbury are a bit further, maybe 35-40 minutes depending on traffic.
The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, parking. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
