The Old Piggery
The Old Piggery is one of two holiday cottages here at Lymbridge Green. It used to be exactly that, a pig shed, but we've converted it. It's modern inside, lots of wood and concrete. You get your own terrace with a hot tub. The main garden is shared with the other cottage, and there's a swimming pool open in the summer months.
It sleeps four. There's a kingsize bedroom downstairs and the twin beds for children are up on a mezzanine. The stairs to that mezzanine are open and steep. It's one bathroom, with a walk-in shower.
The place is rated 4 Star, so it's well-equipped. You've got the wood burner, a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding is included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
You're right in the countryside here. You can walk out the door and pick up the North Downs Way. For a pub, you're looking at about two miles. The nearest village shop is a drive.
Canterbury is about a 25-minute drive for the cathedral and shops. The coast at Hythe or Folkestone is roughly the same. If you're planning days out, the National Trust has several properties nearby, and the North Downs Way website is good for walkers.
