The Granary
This is The Granary, in Elham. It used to be where they stored the grain for the farm. Now it's a place for two people. It’s detached, so no one’s right next to you.
It’s got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It means it’s comfortable and well kept. Everything is on the ground floor. The entrance and the shower are wheelchair friendly, but you’d need to check the specifics if that’s important.
Inside, it’s one open room. There’s a kitchen area at one end, the bed and seating at the other. There’s a wood burner for when it’s cold. It’s warm and does the job. Outside, there’s a patio with a table and a BBQ. You can walk around the owners' gardens. They’re big and the views over the fields are nice.
You’re right on National Cycle Route 17 if you cycle. Good walks start from the door too. The village has a couple of pubs. Elham Valley Golf Club is just down the road.
You can drive to Folkestone or the coast in about 20 minutes. Canterbury is the same, the other way. It’s good for a day out, seeing the cathedral or the shops. For a longer trip, Dover Castle and the White Cliffs are about half an hour away.
It has WiFi, a Smart TV, and parking. All the bedding and towels are there. No pets, I'm afraid.
