Coombe Wood Coach House
Coombe Wood Coach House is on our farm in Hawkinge. It's part of the livery yard, next to our house. The main outlook is over the Alkham Valley here in the Kent Downs.
It sleeps nine. Five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. There's a cinema room with a wood burner for evenings in.
Outside, there's a terrace with a hot tub. Steps lead down from it into a paddock, which is good for a picnic. The paddock backs onto woodland. There's also a ping pong table under cover.
You're on a working farm. We've got horses, sheep and alpacas. You can walk straight out from the door onto the farm tracks and into the Downs.
The local shop and pub are about a ten minute walk. Folkestone and the coast are a ten minute drive. The beach there is Sunny Sands. Dover with the castle and the ferries is about twenty minutes away. For a bigger day out, Canterbury is half an hour. The cathedral is worth seeing. Port Lympne and Howletts zoos are both within easy reach.
Facilities: It has the things you'd expect – wifi, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
