Seashore Apartment
Seashore Apartment is on Sandgate Road in Folkestone. It's a first floor flat above a row of shops, so you look straight out at the sea.
The view is the main thing. It's a 180 degree view of the Channel from the little balcony. You get the cross-channel ferries going by, the sunsets, all of it.
It's one bedroom and sleeps four, but really it's best for two. The sofa bed in the living room is there if you need it for kids. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and has what you need. It's clean and modern.
There's a pebble effect fire for cooler evenings. It's gas, so you just turn it on. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Everything's included: bedding, towels, electricity.
You park right outside the property, which is useful. You can have one well-behaved dog.
Stepping outside, you're right on the Leas, which is the big clifftop promenade. You can walk for miles. Left takes you into the town centre of Folkestone, right takes you towards Hythe along the coast path.
Folkestone harbour is about a fifteen minute walk. The Creative Quarter is there with its restaurants and shops. The famous Rocksalt restaurant is down there too, but you need to book.
In Sandgate village, a few minutes' walk away, there are a few restaurants and a fish and chip shop. For fresh fish, Griggs of Hythe is a short drive.
Further out, you can drive to Dover Castle and the White Cliffs in about twenty minutes. The National Trust White Cliffs site is good for walks. Canterbury is about half an hour's drive for the cathedral and shopping.
