Olive Tree Cottage
Olive Tree Cottage is a barn conversion on Hoad Farm, which is an old farmstead near Swingfield Minnis. It's part of a group of three cottages around a shared courtyard.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. Both bedrooms have doors that open straight into the courtyard. The main living area is open plan.
It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, not luxurious. The beams are low in a couple of places, so taller guests need to watch their head.
Outside, you have your own patio bit. Through a gate there's a bigger, shared area with a barbecue and a large lawn. There's a gazebo for shade and a children's play area further on.
The facilities are what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
Location wise, you're in the countryside but not far from things. Folkestone and the Channel Tunnel are about a 15 minute drive. Dover and the castle are maybe 20 minutes. The coastline, like the White Cliffs or Samphire Hoe, is easily reached. Canterbury is roughly half an hour away for the cathedral and shops.
