Dairy Cottage
Dairy Cottage is in Alkham, near Dover. It's one of three cottages here, all in a row. It's single-storey, so everything's on the ground floor. That's handy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and Wi-Fi works fine. You get your own enclosed garden with a patio. There's a hot tub out there.
The village pub is a mile away. The coast is about four miles. You can drive to Folkestone or Dover for the seafront.
For days out, Canterbury is about half an hour by car. It's got the cathedral and all the history. Dover Castle is closer, maybe 20 minutes. It's a big one, right on the cliffs. The English Heritage site has all the visiting details. You can get the ferry from Dover too.
There's plenty of walking and cycling from the door. You can store bikes here. The area's quite quiet.
Facilities: it's got a woodburning stove, parking, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
