Dairy Cottage Chalksole

Dairy Cottage is out near Alkham, in a hamlet called Chalksole. It's in Kent.

It's a single-storey place, so everything's on the ground floor. That's handy if you don't fancy stairs. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one shower room. It's got that 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and it's been looked after. The garden's enclosed, which is good if you're bringing the dog, or kids. Yes, you can bring dogs, up to two.

It's got a hot tub out in the garden. It's there all year.

Inside, there's everything you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, woodburning stove. The Wi-Fi works. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there.

The local pub's about a mile away. A proper village pub. The nearest shop is a bit further, about three miles, so you'll want to come with supplies.

The coast is about four miles off if you fancy the sea. Dover's close. You can see the castle from the town. It's an English Heritage site and it's huge, with a lot of history. The port's there too if you wanted a day trip to France. Canterbury's about a half hour drive. The cathedral's the main thing, but the city walls and the shops are good for a wander. It's good walking and cycling country right from the door. We've got a bike storage shed if you bring yours.

There are two other cottages next door. Sometimes groups book them together.
