Hoad Farm Cottages
Hoad Farm Cottages are on my family's farm in Swingfield Minnis. It's proper countryside, up on the Kent Downs. You can see for miles.
There are two cottages, Holly and Maple. They're identical. Each one sleeps six, has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. You can book them together or separately. If you book both, that's twelve people and six bathrooms. They're all on one level with wide doors, so they're good if stairs are a problem.
The cottages open out onto a shared courtyard with tables and chairs. The living area is open plan. It's not flash, it's comfortable. You get a TV, wifi, a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The farm's old. Parts of it are from the 13th century. There's a big garden to walk around. There's a children's play area and a pond, which is fenced off. You're welcome to bring dogs, up to four between you.
You're about twenty minutes from Folkestone and the Channel Tunnel. Dover with the ferries is about the same. Canterbury is maybe half an hour's drive. The coast at Deal or Whitstable is within half an hour too.
For days out, the White Cliffs of Dover are close. So is Dover Castle. If you want to walk, the North Downs Way runs right past the farm.
Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
