Hoad Farm Cottages are at Hoad Farm in Swingfield Minnis. It's a group of cottages on a farm that's been here since the 13th century. They're set around a shared courtyard.
It sleeps twelve, but that's across six separate cottages. Each cottage sleeps two. So it's good for a big group who want their own space, or for a few couples travelling together. Each cottage has its own bedroom and bathroom, all on one level with wide doors.
The living area in each is open plan, with French doors to the courtyard. You get your own table and chairs out there.
The farm grounds are nice to walk around. There's a children's play area and a pond, but the pond is not fenced, so you need to keep an eye on kids. The views from up here are good. You're high on the Kent Downs, so you look out over farmland.
It's got a 3 Star rating. Everything works and it's clean. It's not luxury, but it's comfortable.
You're a bit inland here, but it's easy to get to places. Dover and its castle are about a 20 minute drive. Folkestone and the Channel Tunnel are about 25 minutes. Canterbury is maybe half an hour. For the coast, places like Deal or the beaches near Sandgate are within 30 minutes.
Facilities: each cottage has a TV, WiFi, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. You can bring dogs, up to four across the whole booking.
