Jemmett Lodge

This is Jemmett Lodge. It's out in Mersham, a village between Ashford and Hythe. The place is a single storey, detached cottage on a working farm. You can look out over the fields.

It sleeps two, but there's a sofa bed if you need it for a small child. One bedroom, one bathroom. The whole living space is open plan. It has air conditioning, which is handy in the summer. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well put together.

The cottage is all on the ground floor and the entrance is level, so it's accessible. There's a decent sized garden with a patio and a barbecue. Parking is right there.

There's a pub that serves food about half a mile down the lane. The farm itself is active, so you'll see tractors and hear the usual farm sounds. It's quiet otherwise.

You’re about a twenty minute drive from the coast. Hythe and Dymchurch have the long sandy beach. Folkestone and the Channel Tunnel are fifteen minutes south. If you want to go further, Ashford International station is a fifteen minute drive. You can be in London in under forty minutes on the train, or in Paris for the day if you take the Eurostar.

For walking, the North Downs Way starts nearby. The Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway is a short drive away if you like that sort of thing. For a day out, you can be in Canterbury in half an hour, or Dover Castle isn't much further.

It comes with wifi, TV, and all the bedding. There's a washing machine. A cot and highchair are here if you need them. No pets.
