The Duck House is near Bilsington in Kent. It's a detached place, basically a converted stable. We did it up a few years ago.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. Everything's on one level. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfy but not a showhome. The main room is open plan and you get a good view over the fields from there.
You're next to our smallholding. We've got emus, goats, turkeys, that sort of thing. It means dogs are welcome, but you have to keep them on a lead when you're outside. The garden is enclosed.
There's a pub about a mile and a half away in the village. For shops, you'd go to Aldington, about two miles. Ashford International station isn't far if you wanted a day trip to London or even Paris.
Canterbury is about half an hour's drive. Whitstable and the coast are roughly the same. For walking, you're close to the Devil's Kneading Trough and the wider Kent Downs. The Visit Kent site has ideas for days out.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, TV, a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot in if you need one.
