Stag Lodge
Stag Lodge is on a farm near Northiam. It's a barn conversion, detached. You get your own enclosed patio area. It's quiet, with fields around.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's warm and comfortable, not too big. Because it's a barn conversion, the ceilings are quite high.
There's a wood burner in the main room. It makes the place very cosy. There's underfloor heating too, so it's never cold.
The kitchen is open plan. It has a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. You can park right outside.
Northiam village is about two miles away. It has a couple of shops and pubs. For a bigger choice, you'd drive to Rye or Tenterden. Both are about ten minutes away. Rye has the old town with its cobbled streets. Tenterden has the high street and the steam railway.
The Kent & East Sussex Railway is nearby. You can get a steam train to Bodiam Castle. It's a nice trip. Bodiam Castle is run by the National Trust.
For gardens, Great Dixter is close. It's famous. For the beach, Camber Sands is about twenty minutes' drive. It's a big sandy beach.
