Stag Lodge is on a farm just outside Northiam. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. It's in the middle of five acres of fields. The owners have horses and chickens on the land, so you'll see them about.
It sleeps two, one bedroom and one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-kept. The main room is open plan, with the kitchen, living area and a woodburning stove all together.
The patio area is enclosed, so it's private. You can sit out there if the weather's good. There's parking right outside.
For shops or a pub, you need to drive into Northiam village, which is about two miles away. The nearest proper town is Rye. That's about a fifteen minute drive. It's old, with cobbled streets and plenty of places to eat. The Bodiam Castle is about twenty minutes away by car.
The steam railway has a station at Northiam. You can get a train from there to Tenterden one way or towards Bodiam the other. It's a nice way to see the countryside without driving.
The coast at Camber Sands is about half an hour's drive. It's a big sandy beach. For gardens, Great Dixter is very close, just outside Northiam.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed. The place is all yours, but there are a couple of other holiday cottages on the same farm if a bigger group wanted to book together.
