Quince Cottage

This is Quince Cottage in Sedlescombe. It's one of two cottages converted from old farm buildings on our smallholding. We've got about 14 acres here with sheep and pigs.

It sleeps two. One bedroom upstairs on a mezzanine floor, and one bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. Because it's a conversion, the ceilings downstairs are low in places, and the stairs up to the mezzanine are quite steep. If you're tall, you'll need to mind your head.

The cottage is open plan, with the living area, kitchen and a wet room on the ground floor. The garden is enclosed and there's parking right outside. You're welcome to bring up to two dogs.

You can walk into the village in about ten minutes across the fields. There's a pub on the green. The shop is about a mile away.

Battle Abbey and the battlefield are only a few minutes' drive. You can pick up the 1066 walking route from here. English Heritage Battlefield has the visitor information.

Rye and Hastings are both within half an hour. Camber Sands is about a 40 minute drive. The steam railway in Tenterden is good for a trip out.

Facilities include WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a BBQ. We provide a cot and highchair if you need them. There's a shared play area for children on the farm.
