Quince Cottage is in Sedlescombe, East Sussex. It's a one bedroom place for two people. There's a mezzanine floor with the bed up there, so you're sleeping in the eaves. It's a converted cow shed, so the beams are original. We've got farm animals here, sheep and pigs mostly. The garden is enclosed.
It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. There's a wet room on the ground floor, which is good if stairs are a problem. The Wi-Fi works fine.
You can walk into the village in about ten minutes across the fields. There's a pub by the green. The shop is about a mile away.
Battle is very close. You can walk the 1066 path from here. The battlefield and the abbey are the main things to see. The English Heritage site for Battle Abbey has all the details.
Rye is about a twenty minute drive. It's all cobbled streets and old buildings. Hastings is roughly the same distance the other way, with the sea and the old town. Camber Sands is about half an hour away if you want a proper beach.
You're allowed to bring two dogs. There's bike storage if you need it, and a washing machine. Bedding is included. There's parking right outside.
