The Challoners
This place is called The Challoners. It's near Robertsbridge, in the East Sussex countryside. It's actually two small wooden cabins set in their own garden. One is for sleeping, the other is for living.
It's for two people only. The bedroom is in a shepherd's hut. There's a good double bed in there and an electric stove heater for looks. It has its own bathroom with a roll-top bath. The living cabin has a sofa, a walk-in shower, and another toilet. Both cabins have underfloor heating. There's no television.
The garden is enclosed and private. There's a covered picnic table, a barbecue, and a fire pit. You can bring two dogs.
The rating is 5 Star. That reflects the finish and the facilities, like the underfloor heating and the separate living space.
You're on the edge of the owner's land. They have about 50 acres of woods you can walk in, with a lot of wildlife. Robertsbridge village is about a mile away. It has a shop and a couple of pubs. The Salehurst Halt pub has a big garden.
Bodiam Castle is about three miles away. It's a proper moated castle. National Trust Bodiam Castle. Battle and its abbey are about six miles. Rye and Hastings are both within a 30 minute drive. For a bigger body of water, Bewl Water reservoir is about seven miles away for walks and sailing.
Everything is included: bedding, towels, WiFi, and parking right there.
