Coblye Barn

Coblye Barn is on Cackle Street. It's a single storey barn we converted a while ago. You get to it by a track that's about a quarter of a mile long from the main lane. It's in the middle of Brightling Park, which is a big estate, about 500 acres. There are sheep and horses about. It's quiet.

It's a one bedroom place, sleeps two. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is on the ground floor and it's wheelchair accessible, with a walk in shower. There's parking right outside.

Inside, it's all open plan. There's a kitchen area with a dishwasher and a washing machine. The bed is made up for you with towels provided. There's a TV and WiFi. Outside there's a patio garden with a barbecue.

You're allowed one dog. The garden isn't fully enclosed, so if your dog wanders off, you'll need to keep an eye on it.

The local shop and the nearest pub are about two miles away in Brightling village.

For walking, you can go straight out from the barn. The estate has paths and you're in the High Weald area. There's local fishing if that's your thing. There are a lot of follies built by a man called Fuller in Brightling Park, if you like looking at odd buildings.

By car, Rye and Tunbridge Wells are about half an hour. Brighton is about 45 minutes. The mainline station at Robertsbridge for trains to London is only five minutes away by car.

If you need more space, this barn and another one called Ox Lodge Barn, about a mile from here, can be booked together. That sleeps seven in total.

Some useful links if you're planning: Bateman's (National Trust) and High Weald National Landscape.
