The Peacock Barn is in Burwash. It's a single storey barn conversion, so all on one level. You've got your own garden. The views are over fields.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well finished. Because it's a barn, the ceilings are high and the main room feels quite big.
You get here down a half-mile farm track. It's properly quiet. The farm has sheep and horses. We're here on the farm if you need anything.
There's a pub in the village, about a 15 minute walk back up the lane. It's old and does food. The village shop is half a mile away.
You can walk straight out from the barn onto footpaths. It's all part of the High Weald. For a day out, Bateman's, which was Rudyard Kipling's house, is just outside the village. It's run by the National Trust.
Bodiam Castle is about eight miles east. It's a proper castle with a moat. Battle Abbey is nine miles away. If you like trains, the Kent and East Sussex Railway runs from Bodiam to Tenterden.
The coast is about a 30 minute drive. Rye, Camber Sands, Hastings and Bexhill are all in that range.
In the barn there's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. There's parking right outside.
