Cornbrash Farm Cottage is at our place, a farm in Earl's Down. It's a detached, single-storey building in our garden. We live in the old farmhouse next door. The cottage looks out over our fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. The layout is open plan.
We keep a small herd of cattle and some pigs on the nine acres here. You'll see them out in the fields. It's a working farm, so there are normal farm sounds and smells sometimes.
The cottage has its own parking. There's a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. We have a BBQ you can use.
The local pub is about three quarters of a mile away. They do food. The nearest shop is a mile and a half in Heathfield, which is a small market town.
You can walk straight from the door. We're in the High Weald National Landscape. The Cuckoo Trail for cycling is close by. For fishing, there are local lakes and stretches of river.
Battle and its Abbey are about half an hour's drive. Batemans, Rudyard Kipling's old house, is roughly the same. Herstmonceux Castle is about 25 minutes away.
The coast at Eastbourne is 30 minutes by car. The beaches at Pevensey and Bexhill are a bit closer. Brighton is about an hour's drive. Trains to London go from Robertsbridge or Polegate.
Sorry, no pets. We sometimes decorate for Christmas if you're booking over that period.
