Cedar Lodge is a single-storey lodge in Cowbeech, East Sussex. It's in our garden, but it's detached and private. It sleeps two, one bedroom with an en-suite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The main thing is the view. It looks out over fields and the Weald. There's a covered deck with chairs, so you can sit outside even if it's a bit damp. There's a large ornamental Koi pond a few steps away.
The local pub is about 50 yards up the lane. It's old and serves food. The nearest shop is two miles away in Rushlake Green.
If you like walking, you're set. There are footpaths right from the gate. The Cuckoo Trail is nearby for cycling or walking on the old railway line. You can hire bikes locally.
By car, you're about half an hour from the coast at Eastbourne. Beachy Head is there. Herstmonceux Castle and Michelham Priory are close for a day out. The area has a few vineyards if that's of interest.
Facilities: it's all on one level. There's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding is included. There's a chiminea on the deck. Sorry, no pets.
