This is Henley Bridge Holiday Cottage. It's on Brownbread Street in East Sussex. It's a converted dairy from a farm.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxury. The garden is enclosed, so it's private. There's a proper inglenook fireplace with a wood burner.
The local pub is about a five minute walk. They do good food. The nearest shop is in the village, about two miles away.
You're right on the 1066 Country Walk. Battle is six miles. The abbey and battlefield are there. It's about a 15 minute drive.
For a day out, Bateman's is nearby. That's Rudyard Kipling's old house. Bewl Water is good for a walk or cycling. Herstmonceux has the observatory science centre, which kids tend to like.
The coast is about a 20 minute drive. Bexhill and Pevensey are the closest. Hastings and Eastbourne are a bit further, maybe 30 minutes.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. The wood for the stove is provided. No pets, sorry.
