High House Holiday Cottages 1 is over in Hooe. It's a converted barn from the 1800s. You get the ground floor flat, so no stairs to worry about. It's for two people.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well looked after. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. Everything is open plan, so the living room, kitchen, and dining area are all one space. There's a washing machine, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog.
Outside, there's a patio area with a table and chairs. It looks out over fields. You're welcome to walk around the orchard next to the cottage.
The village shop and pub are about a three-quarter mile walk. The pub does food. The closest beach is Pevensey Bay, which is pebbly. That's about three miles away.
Eastbourne is a short drive. You've got the pier, the bandstand, and the Beachy Head cliffs there. Battle is nearby too, for the abbey and the 1066 history. You're on the edge of the South Downs National Park so there's plenty of walking. National Trust places like Bodiam Castle are within half an hour.
It's peaceful here. If you need space for more people, Cottage No. 1 and Wheelwrights next door can be booked together.
