Chilsham Barn

Chilsham Barn is a barn conversion near Herstmonceux. It's on our farm, so you'll see sheep and chickens in the fields around you. It's detached and you have your own bit of garden and the orchard to use.

It sleeps four, two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. The main room is open plan with big windows, so it's very light. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner. The stairs are open tread oak, so they're quite steep and open, if that makes sense.

You're about a fifteen minute drive from the coast at Pevensey Bay or Cooden. Eastbourne is twenty minutes by car. Herstmonceux Castle, which has the science centre, is very close. Battle Abbey is about twenty five minutes away.

For a longer day out, Brighton is roughly forty five minutes' drive. The South Downs are right there for walking. There's a golf course nearby in Herstmonceux.

Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. We include bedding and towels. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog.
