Swallows Barn is in Ponts Green, which is between Heathfield and Burwash. It's a detached barn conversion on our smallholding. We live next door in the thatched cottage.
The barn sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. It's got a 4 Star and a Rose Award rating, which just means it's been checked and it's comfortable. It's all on one floor except for a mezzanine level in the main bedroom where the bed is.
You'll be looking out at fields and our yard. We've got Golden Guernsey goats, a few ponies, and ducks wandering about. There's always something going on.
It's properly rural. The nearest shop is about two and a half miles away in Burwash. The nearest pub is about two miles. You'll need a car.
The footpaths start right from the gate. You can walk for miles without touching a road. For local attractions, Bodiam Castle is about a twenty minute drive. Battle Abbey and the battlefield are about half an hour. Brighton is forty five minutes if you fancy the seaside.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. There's a games room in a separate outbuilding with a pool table. You can bring one well-behaved dog. Bedding and towels are included.
