Mount House Barn is in Burwash. The village is nice, not too big. You’ve got views over fields from the property.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom. It’s a 4 Star cottage, so it’s comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are a bit steep because it's a barn conversion, but most people manage fine.
The main thing is the garden. It’s proper enclosed and looks out over the fields. It’s sunny, good for sitting out. There’s a wood burner inside for cooler evenings.
Pets are welcome, one well-behaved dog. There’s an enclosed dog field just down the road called All Things Dog Park if you want to let them run around safely. A washing machine is useful for muddy paws.
For local walks, the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is about a 15 minute drive. Lots of footpaths. Bodiam Castle is also close, maybe 15 minutes. It’s good for a visit.
Rye, Battle, and Eastbourne are all within half an hour by car if you fancy a trip out.
Facilities-wise, it’s got what you’d expect. Parking on site, WiFi, a dishwasher, bedding and towels included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. The local pub is a short walk away.
