Hoppers Cottage

Hoppers Cottage is in Birchett's Green, East Sussex. It's a converted hop picker's place, right next to Bewl Water. You get a clear view of the reservoir from the cottage.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well done up. The living space is open plan downstairs.

There's a wood burner for cooler evenings. Outside, there are two terraces to sit on, both facing the water. It's very quiet and rural. The nearest shop and pub are about two miles away in Wadhurst.

You're basically on the edge of Bewl Water. You can walk or cycle straight onto the path around it. It's about 13 miles all the way round if you fancy it. People sail, fish, and canoe on the water.

For days out, there are several National Trust places within half an hour. Scotney Castle and Sissinghurst are close. Bodiam Castle isn't far either.

The coast is about a 40 minute drive. Brighton, Rye, and Camber Sands are all in that direction.

Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
