Hoppers Cottage Birchett's Green

Hoppers Cottage is in Birchett's Green, East Sussex. It's a converted hop picker's cottage, right by the water. It's on its own, so it's quiet. The views over Bewl Water are the main thing.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.

There are two terraces outside. Both look out over the lake. You can sit there in the evening. Inside, there's a wood burner for colder nights. It's open plan downstairs.

Bewl Water is right there. You can walk or cycle around it. It's about 13 miles if you do the full loop. You can also go fishing, sailing, or windsurfing on the lake. The village of Wadhurst is about two miles away. It has a shop and a couple of pubs.

If you want to go further out, there are a lot of National Trust places within about half an hour. Scotney Castle, Sissinghurst, and Batemans are all close. Rye and Camber Sands are about 30 minutes by car. Brighton is around 45 minutes.

For facilities, it has the basics covered: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
