Bensfield Treehouse is near Wadhurst. You drive down a private track through farmland to get to it. It's for two people.
You get there by walking across a small rope bridge to the deck. The main room is circular and built around a big oak tree, so the tree comes right up through the middle. You can see it from the bed. It's one open space, with the living area, kitchenette, and bed all there. The bathroom is separate, with a roll-top bath.
The deck is big. It's got a table and chairs and a gas barbecue. The view is over our own fields and woods. You're welcome to walk around the estate. There are footpaths from the farm out into the area.
Inside, it's well done. It's got a dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and parking. Bedding and towels are there. We leave a breakfast hamper with local bits for you.
Wadhurst village is a few minutes drive for shops and a pub. Royal Tunbridge Wells is about 20 minutes away. It’s got more shops and places to eat.
For days out, Bodiam Castle is about half an hour. The coast at Hastings or Rye is roughly the same. The National Trust has a few properties nearby like Sissinghurst Castle Garden. The High Weald area is good for walking.
It's quiet. You hear the birds and the wind in the trees. That's pretty much it.
