Cowford Oast
Cowford Oast is a converted oast house roundel. It sits in our garden, so we're nearby if you need anything, but you've got your own space. It's for two people.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. There's one bedroom upstairs and a bathroom downstairs.
Inside, it's one big round room downstairs with the kitchen, sitting area, and a wood burner. The stairs are a spiral staircase. They're fine, but mind your head when you come down.
Outside, there's a private patio with a table and a BBQ. You're welcome to wander around the main garden. It's very quiet here, just fields and woods.
The village of Boarshead is about two miles away. There's a shop and a decent pub there. For a bigger town, Royal Tunbridge Wells is under five miles. That's where you'll find The Pantiles and all the shops.
If you like walking, you can start right from the gate. For gardens, Penshurst Place and Groombridge Place are lovely. Scotney Castle is nice too. All about a 15 minute drive. National Trust has details on some of them.
There are a few vineyards around Lamberhurst if that's your thing. The coast is about 40 minutes drive if you fancy a day out.
Facilities: It's got WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I'm afraid.
