The Bothy At Fordcombe is in Fordcombe, Kent. It's a small, single-storey brick building that used to be for the gardening staff on the estate. We've done it up.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. One has a shower, the other has a bath with a shower over it. The whole place is on one level, so there are no stairs. It's all fairly open plan inside.
Outside, there's a patio area and then a large private paddock. It's enclosed, so it's safe for dogs and kids to run about in. You get the whole space to yourselves.
The village is quiet, just a few houses and farms. It's in the High Weald, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are some good walks straight from the door.
For shops and things, Tunbridge Wells is about ten minutes by car. Tonbridge and Sevenoaks are maybe fifteen minutes. Tonbridge has a mainline station with fast trains to London if you need that.
Lots of the big National Trust places are within half an hour. Sissinghurst Castle and Ightham Mote are close. Hever Castle and Leeds Castle aren't far either. The coast at Hastings or Rye is about forty minutes drive.
For facilities, it's got what you'd expect. WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. There's a wood burning stove and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot. Parking is right outside.
We take up to two dogs.
