The Old Gate House
The Old Gate House is on the Salomons Estate, just outside Southborough. It's a detached house in the grounds. You've got your own garden and a car park right next to it that fits about six cars.
It sleeps twelve people. There are five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been done up to a high standard. The beds are comfortable. The main bedroom has an en-suite with a roll-top bath in the room.
The stairs are fine, it's on three floors. It's also wheelchair accessible from the entrance.
You're in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The estate has 36 acres of gardens and woods you can walk in. It gets muddy, so bring boots. You can bring one dog.
Royal Tunbridge Wells is a couple of miles away. The Pantiles is the historic bit there. For a bigger day out, you can be in central London in about an hour by train from Tunbridge Wells station.
Hever Castle is about half an hour's drive. Knole House in Sevenoaks is similar. If you fancy the coast, it's about 45 minutes to an hour to get to places like Rye or Camber Sands.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, a BBQ, TV, WiFi, and all bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site.
