The Chalet The Platt

The Chalet is in Frant. It's a detached wooden building at the bottom of our garden. You get your own space down there. There's a path that separates it from our house for privacy. It looks out over a big lawn that's for you to use.

It sleeps two in one bedroom. The bed is in the main room, which is open plan. There's a kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, and two electric hot plates. It's enough to make a simple meal. The bathroom is separate and has a walk-in shower. It's a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean without being high-end.

You have a south-facing patio with a table and chairs, a barbecue, and a patio heater. The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs. We have two dogs ourselves, so they might pop down the path to say hello. We also have chickens, so we'll likely leave you some eggs. There's a large pond in our part of the garden, so just keep an eye on pets and children.

Frant is good for walks. There are a couple of pubs within walking distance. The train station is on the mainline, so you can get to London in about an hour. The coast at Hastings or Eastbourne is less than an hour's drive.

For days out, Tunbridge Wells is close for shops. Penshurst Place, Bewl Water, and Scotney Castle are all within a 30 minute drive. If you're interested in walking or history, National Trust Sussex and High Weald National Landscape have good information.

We allow one well-behaved dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the gravel drive.
