Sawmill Cottage

Sawmill Cottage is in Tunbridge Wells, on Mount Ephraim. It's a one-bedroom cottage that sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating.

It used to be the sawmill for The Pantiles. It's been converted, so it's one of those places where the old character meets new fittings. There's a wood burning stove and a roll top bath. The garden is enclosed and gets the sun in the afternoon.

The location is the main thing. You're about a five minute walk from The Pantiles. That's the old colonnaded street with cafes and shops. There's a Sainsbury's Local close by for basics.

You can walk into the town centre from here. There are plenty of independent shops and antique places. In the summer, there are sometimes jazz evenings at the bandstand on The Pantiles.

For days out, you're well placed. Scotney Castle is about a 15 minute drive. It's a nice estate with gardens and a ruin. Sissinghurst Castle Garden is maybe 25 minutes away. Hever Castle is about half an hour. If you want the coast, Camber Sands is just under an hour.

Facilities: it has parking for one car on site. There's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a BBQ in the garden.
