Culver Croft is a single lodge set back from the lane in Chiddingstone, Kent. It's detached, so it's just you and the fields. The view from the decking is over open countryside.
It sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and everything's in good order. It's all on one level inside, which is handy. The doors from the living room and bedroom lead onto the decking, but there's a small step down from each door, so just mind your feet.
It's peaceful here. You can sit out on the decking, use the BBQ, or the fire pit in the evening. The shower is a good size with a rainfall head.
You're in the High Weald National Landscape. Chiddingstone Castle is a few minutes' walk up the lane. The village itself, about three-quarters of a mile away, is owned by the National Trust. It's a Tudor village, very well preserved. There are plenty of public footpaths from the door if you like walking.
If you want to go further, Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells are both under half an hour's drive. The coast at Eastbourne is just over an hour.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and parking right by the lodge. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
