Wisteria Cottage
Wisteria Cottage is in Heathfield, East Sussex. It's a detached cottage next to our house, but it's completely private. You have your own entrance and parking.
It's a five-star property. That means it's been done up really well, not that it's huge. It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. The living room has French doors that open onto your own patio and a small garden. There's a fire pit out there.
The kitchen is small but it's got everything you need. There's a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
A 15th-century pub is about a minute's walk away. There's also a modern brewery a bit further on that does food. The town centre is up the hill.
You're in the countryside here. There are good walks straight from the door. The Cuckoo Trail is nearby for cycling or walking. If you drive, you can be at the coast in under half an hour. Eastbourne is about 16 miles. Royal Tunbridge Wells is 17 miles.
Glyndebourne opera house is less than 10 miles away if that's your thing. There's also a local vineyard, Hidden Spring, that does tours.
