Castlemans Stables West is in Sedlescombe, in East Sussex. It's a converted stable block, on the grounds of a big estate. There's another stable conversion next door, Castlemans Stables East, so you could book both if you were coming as a bigger group.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both are doubles, and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and finished to a good standard. The place looks out over fields and has its own enclosed patio area with a table and chairs. There's parking.
The village of Sedlescombe is a five minute walk. There's a shop and a good pub called The Queens Head, which does food and lets dogs in. Sedlescombe Golf Club is just up the road. Sedlescombe Vineyard is nearby too, you can do tours and wine tasting.
Battle is about five minutes away by car. It's built around the Abbey, which is the site of the 1066 battle. The High Street has shops, cafes, and places like 'Yesterday's World'. It's worth looking at English Heritage for Battle Abbey if you're interested in the history.
Hastings is about a fifteen minute drive. It's a proper seaside town. The Old Town has pubs and independent shops. The front has the pier and amusements. You can walk up to the castle ruins for the views.
The coast is close. The 1066 Country Walk goes through the area. Bodiam Castle is about a twenty minute drive. For a longer trip, Rye and Camber Sands are within half an hour.
For facilities: there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings, a BBQ, WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and a highchair and cot if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
