This is Thirlmere. It's a one-bedroom apartment in an old hotel building in Ulverston town centre. It's modern inside, but the building itself is old and listed.
It sleeps three, but I'd say it's best for a couple. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and well looked after.
The main room is open plan, so the living, kitchen and dining area are all together. The windows are big and let in a decent amount of light. The kitchen has what you need.
There's a small, enclosed garden out the back that's just for this apartment. It's a nice spot if you get some sun.
You're right in the middle of Ulverston. Everything is on your doorstep. Shops, cafes, pubs. It's a proper market town. They've got festivals through the year and it's known as the birthplace of Stan Laurel from Laurel and Hardy.
The Lake District is about a 20 minute drive away. Coniston Water and Windermere are the closest. You can be at a lake in no time for a walk or if you want to get on the water. The Lake District National Park site is good for planning.
A bit further on, maybe 25 minutes, you've got the southern fells. There's also the coast in the other direction, around Morecambe Bay.
In the apartment you've got a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and bedding and towels are provided. Parking is on-street, so you'll need to find a space, but there's usually something not too far away.
