Cedar Lodge is in Lindal in Furness. It's a detached lodge, one of five on the park. It's all on the ground floor. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, both with walk-in showers. It sleeps four.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's modern and well equipped. It's open plan inside. Outside there's a private terrace with a hot tub. You look out over the landscaped grounds. There's parking for two cars.
A pub and restaurant are about a mile away. The local shop is two miles. The coast is about four miles if you fancy a beach.
For things to do, Ulverston is five minutes by car. It's a market town, good for a wander and some shops. The South Lakes Safari Zoo is about ten minutes away. It's popular, so book online. Barrow-in-Furness is nearby too if you need a bigger supermarket or a cinema.
You're about twenty minutes from Newby Bridge, which is where you can get on the Windermere Lake Cruises. The Lakes Aquarium is there as well. It's a good spot if you want to see the lake without driving right into the busy parts.
You're on the edge of the Lake District here. Coniston, Ambleside, Bowness-on-Windermere are all within a half hour drive. It's a handy base. If you're walking, the Cumbrian Way long-distance path starts in Ulverston.
