Cedar Lodge

Cedar Lodge is in Lindal in Furness. It's a detached lodge. There are a few others nearby, but you've got your own space.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. Everything's on the ground floor. There's an open plan living area. It has a 4 Star rating. It's newish and comfortable.

Outside, you have a private terrace and a hot tub. It looks out over the shared grounds. You can park two cars right there.

Inside, you've got the basics covered: a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included.

The local pub is about a mile away. The nearest shop is two miles, so you'll likely drive for groceries.

You're well placed for getting about. Ulverston is five minutes by car. It's a proper market town with cobbled streets. That's where the Cumbria Way long-distance path starts.

The South Lakes Safari Zoo is about ten minutes away. It's popular. Barrow-in-Furness is close by for supermarkets, a cinema, and that sort of thing.

You can be at the coast at Walney Island in twenty minutes. In the other direction, also about twenty minutes, is Newby Bridge. That's where you get the Windermere Lake Cruises and the Lakes Aquarium.

For the main Lake District, you drive up from here. Ambleside, Coniston, and Windermere are all within about a thirty minute drive. It's a good base if you want to avoid staying right in the busiest spots.

Useful links for planning: National Trust Lake District and the Lake District National Park Authority.

No pets allowed, I'm afraid.
