Larch Lodge is a detached holiday lodge on a site near Lindal. There's five lodges in total, all the same layout.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both on the ground floor. One double, one twin. Two bathrooms as well, both with walk-in showers. That's quite handy with four people. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The main room is open plan, lounge, kitchen and dining area all in one. There's a private terrace outside with a hot tub. It looks out over the shared grounds. You get parking for two cars right there.
The site is about a mile from a pub that does food. A shop is two miles away. The coast at places like Walney Island is about a twenty minute drive.
Ulverston is very close, about five minutes by car. It's a proper market town with cobbled streets and a lot of history. The Cumbria Way long-distance path starts there. If you want to get into the Lake District proper, it's a good base. Coniston, Ambleside, and Bowness-on-Windermere are all within about half an hour's drive. For walking, you've got access to the fells from here.
Local things to do: South Lakes Safari Zoo is about ten minutes away and is very popular. Newby Bridge is twenty minutes, where you can get on the Lakes Aquarium and the Windermere Lake Cruises. Barrow-in-Furness is a short drive for shops, a cinema, and a golf course.
Facilities are all there: washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. No pets allowed.
