This is Larch Lodge, out at Lindal near Ulverston. It's one of five lodges here, all set out the same. They're detached, so you've got your own space.
Everything's on the ground floor. There's an open plan living area. Two bedrooms, one double and one twin, and two bathrooms with walk-in showers. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
Outside, you've got your own terrace and a private hot tub. It looks out over the landscaped grounds. Parking for two cars right outside.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included.
The local pub is about a mile away and does food. The nearest shop is two miles, in Ulverston. That's a five-minute drive. It's a proper market town with cobbled streets. It's also the start of the Cumbrian Way walk if you're into that.
For days out, South Lakes Safari Zoo is about ten minutes drive. It's popular, so book ahead. Newby Bridge is twenty minutes. That's where you get the Lakes Aquarium and the Windermere lake cruises.
You're well placed for the Lakes. Coniston, Ambleside, Bowness – they're all within a half hour drive. The coast at Barrow-in-Furness is about twenty minutes away if you fancy a change from the fells.
