Beckside House

Beckside House is in Dalton in Furness. It's not right in the Lakes, but it's on the quieter side, maybe twenty minutes from Coniston and Windermere. You can get on the motorway easily if you want to head further north.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The whole place is on the ground floor, which is useful. The patio doors open straight into the living area from the garden.

The main room is open plan. Kitchen, dining table, and sitting area all together. There's a decent sized TV. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. The bathroom has both a bath and a separate shower.

Both bedrooms are a good size. One has a king size bed. The twin room has zip and link beds, so you can make it a double if you need to.

Dalton town centre is about two minutes walk. There are a few shops, takeaways, and some decent pubs that do food. For a bigger shop, Barrow is ten minutes down the road.

Furness Abbey is very close, maybe three miles. It's an English Heritage site and worth a look. South Lakes Safari Zoo is about the same distance. If you're driving, you can be at Lakeside on Windermere for the steam railway and the aquarium in under half an hour. The whole of the Lake District National Park is on your doorstep from here.

The garden is enclosed. There's a barbecue and parking right outside. It accepts up to two pets. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
