Serenity

It's called Serenity, but it's a lodge type thing on a marina park in Haverigg, Cumbria. It's detached, so no one attached to the sides.

Sleeps six, three bedrooms. Two of them have twin beds, the third one you can set up as either twins or a double. Two bathrooms, which helps. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean.

The living area is all open plan, kitchen in there too. It's got everything you'd need. Doors open out onto a deck. You can sit out there and watch the boats.

The lodge is right on Port Haverigg Marina. They do water skiing, wakeboarding, that sort of thing, if you're into it. There's a cafe on site. The beach at Haverigg is just a short walk away. It's a big, sandy beach. Good for a run.

The town nearby is Millom. It's got shops, a couple of pubs, a train station. It's useful. You're on the edge of the Lake District, so places like Coniston and Hawkshead are about a 45 minute drive. It's quieter here though.

Things to do locally: there's the RSPB reserve at Hodbarrow for birds. Muncaster Castle is about a 20 minute drive, they've got gardens and an owl centre. If you like walking, the Cumbrian Coastal Way path goes along here.

Facilities: parking right there, WiFi, TV, washing machine, bedding and towels included. You can bring two dogs.
