Beeswax Cottage is on the edge of Dalton-in-Furness. It's an end-terrace cottage on a quiet street. It sleeps two, and you can bring one dog.
It's got two bedrooms, which is good if you want a bit more space, and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after, not a project. The living space is all open-plan downstairs.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy for a dog. There's a patio bit too. You've got a washing machine and WiFi.
Dalton itself is an old market town. There's a shop half a mile away, and a pub about a mile away. The coast at Morecambe Bay is about three miles.
You can get the train from Dalton station. It goes south to Grange-over-Sands and Arnside, which are nice for a day out, or north to the edge of the Lake District proper.
If you drive, you're in a good spot. Ulverston is about ten minutes away. It's a proper town with shops and the Laurel and Hardy museum. Conishead Priory, which has the Buddhist temple, is just outside Ulverston too.
For a bigger day out, you can be at the southern lakes in about half an hour. The Haverthwaite Steam Railway goes up to Lakeside on Windermere. The Lakeland Motor Museum is near there. Grizedale Forest and Cartmel are also within a 30 minute drive.
